New Ladybug 7" label - direct from The Bug
September 16, 2005
Following on from his critically acclaimed and rapid-selling Raxor X outlet, The Bug launches a brand new 7-inch label with a bass-heavy bang, easing off the abrasive grit that characterised the Razor X sonic punk dancehall attack, and placing greater emphasis on the waist-winding low-end soundsystem jump, hooked up to lyrics provided by female emcees, deejays and vocalists. Collaborating on this first shot with long time sidekick Warrior Queen, who's reputation has been built 'pon triple XXX lyrics and gun verses, the motormouthed Jamaican MC saves arguably her finest performance for this conscious protest at the London bomb attacks, dropping venomous lines summing up life in the capital under the reign of suicide bombers and terror tactics on both sides. The unstoppable fury of her lyrics, welded to the thunderous bounce and thud of The Bug?s ultra-dancehall production, makes 'Dem A Bomb We' an essential selection for all riddim accicts. For the flipside version, The Bug runs riot inna Razor X style, mashing up Naom Chomsky, George W Bush, B-52 bombers, blitzkreig sirens and a homicidal bassline pushed to bassbin blowing proportions. This single has just been leaked to selected underground selectors such as DJ / Rupture, Ghislain Poirier, and Kode 9, all of whom are spinning this brilliantly intense 'Diwali' style, low end monster. 1000 copies only and they?re going to go fast.

DJ/RUPTURE touring in Oct, Nov, Dec..
September 16, 2005

DJ/RUPTURE NOW BOOKING!
For a limited time only (until rupture retreats into the studio to finish recording his Nettle project),, Rupture is out and about whippin up a frenzy in venues accross Europe. His 3 deck part mixups are legendary and his brand new LOW INCOME TOMORROWLAND mix is just released on TAX RECORDS.
In LOW INCOME TOMORROWLAND's border-defying logic, grime, hiphop, and baltimore club music get their freak on alongside arabic flourishes, jungle, and accappella vocals. Rupture's unusual narrative ability means that L.I.T. simultaneously partyrocks and suggests complex political undertones.
A generous combination of regular CD audio and bonus data MP3s that totals over 2 hours of music, LOW INCOME TOMORROWLAND is funky, surprising, and progressive as f%ck.

Squarepusher UK tour - completed
September 03, 2005

Squarepusher's music defies categorisation and so too does his live performance.
Most commonly known for his hyper-jungle-noise n' bass live shows (recently enjoyed at Glastonbury and Glade summer 05 festivals), Tom has, on very rare occasions, displayed his unfathomable solo bass skills (London Sinfonietta / Warp show in Turin Sept 05).
Often illusive and always uncompromising, Tom Jenkinson refuses to play the 'gigging game?. His rare appearances tend to have an intense sense of occasion. Here Tom Jenkinson steps out centre stage with an unmissable selection of guests performers.
The recently completed tour included Tom Jenkinson solo bass sets,
guest djs; Luke Vibert, Surgeon, Rephlex Records, Why Fi ?
live jams with Paul Hession (drums) & Mick Beck (sax)
unique performances from Pierre Bastien, Kenny Muhammad (The Human Orchestra), Cassetteboy, Bavin (Matt Yee King?s new improve electronic project)
and of course the Squarepuhser ?rinse? set to finish the night in style.
For the first time audiences witnessed the full spectrum of Squarepusher in one evening.
