HELD - Incredible new show with music composed by CLARK
October 16, 2008

HELD is the latest dance theatre production from the Berlin choreographic duo Melanie Lane and Morgan Belenguer. After a successful season of RIDDLE in 2007, this new work HELD sees a collaboration of fierce physicality, together with video from film maker Timo Schierhorn and original music composed by Chris Clark.
HELD explores the connection between memories and the architecture of space that we live in. It delves into the history of one's living space through a physicality that fuses and collaborates with hard, textural objects such as wood and stone. The dancers move through an ever-changing environment that de-constructs and rebuilds itself, revisiting an emotional landscape ranging from brutal aggression to quiet sentiment.
The innovative choreography is complimented by a remarkable score composed by Chris Clark specifically for the 50-minute long piece, pulling even harder at the emotion threads spun by the dancers interactions through a full frequency sensory assault...
