Autechre - Looking at select offers for late 2007

For more than a decade, Autechre have been applying sustained pressure to the walls of our imagination.

Their influence over the development of electronic music is comparible to few other artists. Effortlessly slipping through the seemingly impenetrable web of genrefication, there is still no single word to summarize their sound, begging more of the mind to convey the experience, and expanding the language of musical discussion in the process.

But this is no academic endeavor. Right now Autechre are leaving a blazing trail of RAVE around Europe....

There are just a few occasions to catch Autechre live in July, and they will be taking a few more select offers for November and December.

Here are the confirmations:

07 Spain @ Monegros Festival
13 Germany @ Melt Festival
14 Belgium @ Dour Festival

Send you mega-rave proposals with as much info as possible to ned[at]

From the warp site ::
The follow up to 2003's Draft 7.30, Autechre's eighth full album is a dense yet elegantly expansive work that ripples with some of the duo?s key signatures: epileptic rhythmic counterpoints, complex, spiralling melodic cells, immense tectonic shifts in the low end, dagger sharp glacial crackles in the upper registers. But it also hits straight between the eyes with a raw, almost live-in-the-room immediacy. We're really cranked up and in a totally different gear at the moment?. Sean Booth discloses, in reference to the new album. It feels like we're working in a quite radically different way now; not so much in terms of the final output - I'll let others judge that - but we're getting ideas down a lot quicker now, trying to make the most of what time we've got.

Check the Warp site for Japan & USA live dates and sound snippets.
