London's quirky vibrant electro-pop misfits are back in action this Summer infecting us all again with their playfully unforgettable style. 'Never', their much anticipated follow-up to 'Jewellery' will be released on Rough Trade on July 23. We are now booking their new live show.
Following up the 'Kwesachu Vol. 1' which featured The xx's Romy Croft and Hot Chip, Kwes and Micachu are giving away their second mixtape, 'Kwesachu Vol 2', for free. The joint project features guest appearances from Ghostpoet, Speech Debelle, DELS and The Invisible. Download it below.
If you missed Micachu's blazing mix on Boiler Room check it out here. And take a peek at Micachu & The Shapes live performance on Boiler Room as well!
Of 2011's London Sinfonietta collaboration Chopped & Screwed NME says: "Mica’s choppin’ and screwin’ attempt at repackaging [classical music]'s intelligence and emotion makes it something fresh that you can feel. Drink up."
And Pitchfork: "[Chopped & Screwed is] an effort that hearteningly shows an inspired artist staking out bold terrain..."
The Quietus: "Throwing a universe of influences, ideas and aural snapshots into a frenetic post-post-(post?) modern pastiche for the Micachu album Jewellery in 2009, Levi blew our minds while humbly calling it pop."

Coming straight out of the East End and through the Littlebig doors is the freshest act we've heard for time. Micachu (Mica Levi) with backing from The Shapes (Marc Pell - Drums, Raisa Khan - Keys & Electronics) are a treat to behold.
The super hot 'Golden Phone' single is out now (listen on myspace now) and there's super hype growing around forthcoming album for Feb 09 on Mathew Herbert's Accidental Label (Distro = PIAS)
Their rawkus pop sound is utterly infectious and is pricking ears around the world. Absorbing electro-pop, wonky rhythms and edgey Brit Rock within stunning production is garnering them critical acclaim across the board.
This new band of 21 year olds are about to cause major impact..
