Alongside fellow electronic mavericks and Warp Records stable mates Aphex Twin and Boards Of Canada, Autechre stand out like supernovas amid one of music's customarily starless constellations. Not that you'll find the Sheffield-via-Manchester duo of Sean Booth and Rob Brown gracing the pages of Heat magazine any day soon. Shrewd, sphinx-like and fiercely protective of their music, they nonetheless remain tantalizing, even awe-inspiring enigmas.

Jamie is one of our all time favourite live performers. Aaron Funk (aka Venetian Snares) hails from Winnipeg in Canada. Whilst finishing up a new album for Warp, Mira Calix has been building on the hugely successful collaboration with the London Sinfonietta by developing a smaller offshoot live project (booking showcase performances now). Mira is constantly DJing around Europe - from ambient / experimental nights to kick ass danefloor mayhem. Her solo live show has built into a force to be reckoned with - intense distorted electronic rhythms (with plenty of subbass) rolls under inventive melodic structures - unique visuals accompany the sound making it unforgettable.

Jackson Fourgeaud's Smash is the record electronic music has been crying out for for far too long. Four years in the making, the long-awaited album by this fresh young French talent is already being heralded by those whove heard it as one of the finest debuts in years.

Darren Johnston is a choreographer/ performer/ sound and video artist whose distinct, innovative productions have won him wide recognition across europe and beyond.? In 2003 he created, directed and performed in the Silicon Sensorium project at The South Bank which featured an original sound score by Squarepusher.? This summer he created the live stage show for The Aphex Twin/ Chris Cunningham gig at the Traffic festival in Turin, Italy.
